What I commit to you

Three things I won't compromise on.

  • 01

    Performance without punishment

No starvation diets. No junk-mile training. No burning women out for a finish line. You fuel enough. You fuel well. You train in a way that supports your cycle, your hormones, and the version of you in ten years.

  • 02

    Lived-in empathy

I've trained through periods. Come back from injury. Battled depression. Been hit by a car. Finished Norseman when everyone said I wasn't ready. You're coached by someone who genuinely gets it.

  • 03

    You're not alone

You're juggling kids, careers, maybe expat life, the lot. With very little real support. Pretty Strong is the team in your corner. High communication. Real connection. A community of strong, ambitious women chasing big things together.

Ten years, one squad

Nobody here trains alone. Including the ones who train alone.

Singapore·London·Sydney·Zürich·Bavaria·Maryland·The Maldives

Different cities, different time zones, same group chat. Somebody is always awake, always training, always about to send you a voice note about your splits.

Honorary mentionsPlenty of men wear the kit too. Partners, husbands, mates who turned up to a parkrun and never left. It started with a charity run for Samaritans of Singapore and it never really stopped.
01

The group chat

Race nerves at 4am. Kit questions. Somebody's first sub-25 5K. It runs on its own.

02

Squad call

Monthly, live, questions answered properly. Recorded if your time zone is unkind.

03

Somebody tracking you

Weekly check-ins on stress, sleep, energy, digestion. Numbers tell half the story.

Frankie's story

I became the coach I needed.

In my early twenties I was signed off work. In and out of hospital. On medication, then more medication for the side effects of the first lot.

I walked out of the doctor's one day with a bag of pills thinking this cannot be my life. I came off everything. I started running up and down my car park because I was too self-conscious to run on the road. Three months to get from couch to 5K. Ordered How to Run a Marathon off Amazon. Did London when everyone said I couldn't.

In 2018 I posted on Facebook in Singapore offering to coach anyone for free. Four times a week for seven months. Couch to full marathon. I just wanted to make friends. Over 100 women emailed me.

Pretty Strong isn't a coaching business. It's the thing that saved me, given away to anyone willing to do the work.

“I just want to do it properly this time.”
If that sounds like youYou're a woman training for something that scares you. You've downloaded the generic plan, followed it for three weeks, and quietly stopped. You're on 1,500 calories on training days when you should be on 2,500, and you know it.

Ready when you are

Ready to do this properly?

I take a small number of 1:1 athletes at any given time. The form takes two minutes. I read every one personally and I'll WhatsApp you within 24 hours on weekdays. If we're not the right fit I'll tell you that too.
