Privacy Policy

This explains what personal information Pretty Strong Coaching collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers our website, our free tools, our coaching services and the Pretty Strong app.

1. Who we are

Pretty Strong Coaching is a female-specific endurance coaching practice operated by Forzoni Studios Pte Ltd, a private limited company registered in Singapore.

Forzoni Studios Pte Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, which means it is the company responsible for deciding what is collected and why. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Forzoni Studios Pte Ltd trading as Pretty Strong Coaching.

For anything in this policy, including any request about your data, contact Frankie Forzoni at frankie@prettystrongcoaching.com.

2. The short version

Your information is private by default. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not trade it. We never publish anything about you, your training, your results or your body without asking you first and getting a clear yes.

We share your data only with the platforms we need to actually coach you, listed in section 6. You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it or take it elsewhere at any time, and you can disconnect your Garmin account whenever you like.

3. What we collect and why

If you are a coaching client

  • Identity and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, country and time zone.
  • Health and training information you give us: training history, injuries, illnesses, medications or conditions you choose to tell us about, menstrual cycle information, pregnancy and postnatal status, sleep, stress, energy levels, allergies and food intolerances, body measurements and weight.
  • Training and performance data: completed sessions, race history and results, goals, and the data your watch or devices record.
  • Nutrition information: food logs, macronutrient targets, supplements.
  • Your messages to us: check-in forms, emails, and WhatsApp conversations with your coach.
  • Payment records: what you paid and when. We do not see or store your full card details; payments are handled by our payment provider.

We use all of this for one purpose: to coach you properly. Writing and adjusting your programme, fuelling you correctly, spotting when something is going wrong, and answering your questions. Our lawful basis is the contract between us, and for health information it is your explicit consent, which you give when you start coaching and can withdraw at any time.

If you use a free tool or join the newsletter

  • Your name and email address, so we can send you the thing you asked for and our newsletter.
  • Anything you type into one of our free tools. Those calculations happen in your browser. We receive your email address, not your results.

Our lawful basis is your consent. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately.

If you just visit the website

  • Standard analytics about how the site is used, and anything you put into an enquiry or contact form.

4. Health and fitness data, and where it comes from

Health data is sensitive. Under UK and EU data protection law it is "special category" personal data, and under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act it needs careful handling. We treat it that way. We only collect it with your explicit consent, we only use it to coach you, and we hold it no longer than we need to.

Where your training data comes from today

Your training and performance data reaches us in three ways:

  • From you directly: what you tell us in your check-ins, on WhatsApp, and in the forms you complete when you start coaching.
  • From TrainingPeaks: your planned and completed sessions and your performance data, through the coaching account we hold for you.
  • From TriDot: the same, for athletes still training on that platform.

If your watch or bike computer syncs to TrainingPeaks or TriDot, your device data reaches us through them rather than from the device manufacturer directly. What your device manufacturer does with your data is governed by their privacy policy, not this one.

Garmin: applied for, not connected yet

We are not currently connected to Garmin. We have applied for access to the Garmin Connect Developer Program. If that is approved, we will offer you the option to connect your Garmin account directly, so your coach can see your training and recovery without you sending it manually.

Nothing would happen automatically. You would start that connection yourself through Garmin's own sign-in screen, and we would never see, ask for or store your Garmin username or password. The connection uses OAuth, which means Garmin confirms you have given permission without ever giving us your login.

The rest of this section sets out how we would handle Garmin data, so you know in advance. We will update this page and tell coaching clients before any Garmin data is actually received.

If you did connect a Garmin account, the data we could receive includes:

CategoryWhat that means
Activity dataYour workouts: sport, duration, distance, pace and speed, elevation, power, cadence, laps and splits, and route data where your device records it.
Daily health dataSteps, intensity minutes, calories, resting and all-day heart rate, heart rate variability, stress, Body Battery, respiration and pulse ox.
Sleep dataSleep duration, stages and sleep scores.
Body compositionWeight and body composition readings, where you record them.
Training dataPlanned and completed workouts, training load and training status.
Women's health dataMenstrual cycle and pregnancy logging, if you use those features and choose to share them.

We would use Garmin data only to coach you. Specifically: to see what you actually did against what was planned, to judge your recovery and readiness, to adjust your programme, and to prepare for your check-in and your races.

What we would never do with your Garmin data

  • We would never sell it, to anyone, for any amount.
  • We would never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We would never use it to make decisions about your eligibility for insurance or credit, or pass it to anyone who would.
  • We would never share it with a third party that Garmin has not approved, beyond the processors listed in section 6.

Disconnecting, and what would happen then

You would be able to disconnect at any time without asking us, either by revoking access in your Garmin Connect account settings or by emailing frankie@prettystrongcoaching.com.

On disconnection we would stop receiving any new data immediately. Data already received would stay in your coaching record, because it is part of your training history, unless you also asked us to delete it, which we would do within 30 days. Disconnecting would not cancel your coaching, and it would not delete anything held in your Garmin account.

Garmin handles your data under its own terms. Please read the Privacy Policy for Garmin Connect and Compatible Garmin Devices, which governs what Garmin does with the data your devices collect.

5. Sharing your information, and our rule on publishing it

This is the part most people actually want to know about, so it is plain.

Everything you tell us is private. Your training, your results, your body, your health, your struggles, what you say in a check-in, what you send on WhatsApp at 11pm. All of it stays between you and your coach.

Your coaching is written by your coach. Every check-in response, every comment on a session and every change to your plan is reviewed and written by Frankie. Your feedback is individual to you and it is not shared with other athletes.

We only ever publish something about you if you have said yes to that specific thing. Your testimonial, your personal best, your race result, your photo, your story, your before and after, your words. If we want to use any of it on the website, in an athlete story, in an email, on social media or anywhere else, we ask you first, we tell you exactly where it will appear, and we take a clear yes before anything goes out.

You can change your mind. If you previously agreed and you no longer want something public, email us and we will take it down. We will not argue with you about it.

Outside that, we share personal information only in three situations: with the service providers listed in section 6, who process it on our behalf and under contract; where we are legally required to, for example by a court or regulator; and where it is genuinely necessary to protect someone's life or safety.

6. Who else processes your data

We use third-party services to run the coaching practice. They process your data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We review this list as our tools change, and we update this page when they do.

7. Where your data is held

We are based in Singapore and we coach athletes in a number of countries, including the United Kingdom and across Europe. Some of the services above store data outside Singapore, including in the United States and the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred out of Singapore, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the Personal Data Protection Act 2012. Where it is transferred out of the UK or the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep it

  • While you are a coaching client: for as long as we are coaching you.
  • After coaching ends: up to 3 years, so that if you come back we still have your training history and we know what worked. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Health and training data: deleted when you ask, or when your coaching record is deleted, whichever comes first.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Financial and tax records: as long as Singapore law requires, currently 5 years.

9. Your rights, and how to use them

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • See the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete your data.
  • Export it, in a structured, commonly used format, so you can take it elsewhere.
  • Restrict or object to how we process it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, for health data, for marketing, or for anything you previously agreed to publish.

To do any of these, email frankie@prettystrongcoaching.com. We will respond within 30 days. It is free, and we will not make it awkward.

If you are in the UK or the EEA, these rights come from the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. If you are in Singapore, they come from the Personal Data Protection Act 2012. We apply them to everyone regardless of where you live.

10. Security and breaches

We protect your data with access controls, encryption in transit, and by limiting who can see what. Frankie is the only person with routine access to client coaching records.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach happens that is likely to result in significant harm to you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator without undue delay, and where Garmin data is involved we will notify Garmin within 24 hours of confirming it, as their developer terms require.

11. Cookies and the website

Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, and analytics cookies that tell us which pages people read. We use this to decide what to write about next. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some things may not remember your preferences.

12. Children

Our coaching and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant - a new category of data, a new processor, a new way we use your data - we will tell coaching clients directly by email rather than relying on you to notice.

14. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first at frankie@prettystrongcoaching.com. We would rather fix it.

If you are not satisfied, you can complain to a regulator:

  • Singapore: the Personal Data Protection Commission, at pdpc.gov.sg.
  • United Kingdom: the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.
  • EEA: your local supervisory authority.
